Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have valid state Compact license in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CCRN Must-Have: - Previous ICU experience - Charge experience preferred - Charting experience in Epic Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in ICU. This role involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. The nurse will float between various units based on skill sets. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of one per month. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing various patient conditions. Skills in areas such as ventilator management and drug titration are essential. Candidates must be proficient in administering medications and managing IV lines. The team environment includes diverse support services such as physical therapy and respiratory services. The nurse must be adaptable and ready to assist where needed. Additional patient care includes interpreting ECG rhythms and monitoring vital signs. Previous travel experience is a plus but not mandatory. The role requires effective communication with patients and their families. Candidates should be prepared for potential floating to other facilities nearby.
