Histologist III - per diem

Department/Unit Pathology Hospital Work Shift Per Diem (United States of America) Salary Range $54,690.00 - $82,035.00 Job Summary The Histologist III processes, embeds and stains all types of tissue specimens in the routine laboratory and the special stains area of specialized testing in preparation of histopathological examination. This position requires independent judgement and responsibility, including training of students and new personnel. Responsibilities Perform testing and report results on laboratory specimens. Thoroughly, accurately, and legibly document test results and quality control. Demonstrate basic computer skills. Listen well, take direction, and engage in interactive dialogues with others. Perform maintenance and quality control procedures.
