Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to join our outpatient hand therapy team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating proficiency in treating a wide range of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses, including post-operative conditions, acute injuries, and chronic disorders.

Shift Details

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Qualifications

BLS certification is required.
CA Occupational Therapy license is required.
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting.

Skills and Experience

Expertise in splint fabrication for post-operative cases, acute injuries, and chronic conditions.
Experience with a variety of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses, including:
- Post-operative conditions
- Acute injuries
- Workers' compensation cases
- Chronic disorders
Ability to treat a diverse patient population ranging from pre-teens to geriatric individuals.
Proficient in various therapy techniques including:
- Arthritis management
- Dynamic and static splints
- Electrical stimulation
- Myofascial release
- Nerve injury rehabilitation
- Patient and family education
- Developing home exercise programs

Unit and Patient Care Details

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Orthopedic disorders focusing on post-operative care, acute injuries, and chronic conditions.
Special Procedures: Splint fabrication.

Additional Information

Orientation will be provided, with a total of 12 hours. Compliance with onboarding procedures and a verification of work history for the past seven years is required.
