Location: Hempstead, TX or Northwest Houston, TX Employment Type: Full-Time Overview A leading company in the oil and gas services sector is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with GAAP standards, and supporting inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced with NetSuite ERP. Key Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting functions Complete month-end and year-end close processes Ensure accuracy in GL coding and adherence to GAAP standards Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Manage bank reconciliations and accruals Maintain AFE records and fixed assets Assist with routine external audits and tax preparation Monitor and resolve FIFO inventory variances Generate post-close monthly financial reports Participate in special projects and continuous process improvements Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Preferred: CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting Experience: 3+ years in general accounting, preferably within manufacturing Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Excel Solid understanding of GAAP, inventory, and cost accounting principles Experience supporting audits and tax processes Preferred Experience Hands-on involvement in NetSuite ERP implementation or upgrades Exposure to compliance audits in a manufacturing environment Opportunity to work with advanced systems in a progressive environment Leadership development and growth potential Pre-Employment Requirements Candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.
