SENIOR ASSOCIATE, CONTRACTOR OUTREACH

SUMMARY

The Marketing, Communications, and Outreach team at the Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking a Senior Associate focused on Contractor Outreach. The Senior Associate will focus on marketing and outreach efforts and campaigns designed to grow and nurture the Green Bank's contractor channel, supporting program teams engaging with contractors, and building direct relationships with contractors and related trade groups. The Senior Associate will work across the organization to support contractor utilization of Green Bank products and to further grow and develop the Green Bank Contractor Network. Contractors are an important part of our community and an essential partner in serving other Green Bank stakeholders and making our products accessible to them. This role executes this vision through consistent interaction and engagement with the contractor community and understands the value of building relationships that drive positive business outcomes. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Supporting the Director of Marketing and Outreach with developing and implementing the Green Bank's contractor outreach strategy. Regularly engaging directly with contractors that currently participate in Green Bank programs through in-person and virtual meetings, roundtables, events, industry groups, or other activities to support retention, facilitate feedback, and build relationships. Recruiting new contractors into existing or expanding Green Bank programs, and fostering strong relationships with them. Coordinating with and supporting Green Bank program teams (Smart-E, Energy Storage Solutions, C-PACE, Solar PPA and others) with their goals related to contractor engagement and governance, developing resources, conducting general outreach and research or soliciting feedback through roundtables, trainings, events, meetings or other engagements. Working with the Communications team on developing and delivering content, communications, and events for the contractor network (e.g., hosting contractor networking events, developing sales trainings or contractor conferences, etc.). Supporting the further development, promotion, and execution of the Green Bank's contractor co-branding program in coordination with program teams and Marketing & Outreach. Managing, triaging, and responding to incoming contractor inquiries. Leading efforts to build a more diverse contractor community. Supporting the development and execution of outreach campaigns designed to increase adoption of Green Bank products and programs. Collecting, analyzing, and providing contractor feedback and market research to relevant programs related to product development or redesign. Representing the Green Bank at events, speaking engagements, etc.; and, Other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and outreach skills involving the ability to work with other parties, at all levels, internally and externally. Ability to work as part of a team, but also work independently, exercise judgment, think critically and creatively, and take initiative. Marketing skills or a desire to learn such skills, especially in respect to channel-based marketing and co-branding. Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written communications. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to understand various energy-related technologies and financial products. Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

General knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs including Connecticut specific programs. Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management software. Sales or cold calling experience.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience performing duties similar to the needs of this role. Experience working with energy financing programs or contractors is a plus. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for two (3) years of general experience. In this situation, the candidate must have 2 years of full-time work experience. The Green Bank will determine if this position will be filled at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Associate Manager level based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected. Prospective applicants who meet most but not all selection criteria are encouraged to apply for the position, except for those who are not able to be in the Hartford office at least twice per week.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Outreach. This is a hybrid role split between a minimum of two days per workweek in the Green Bank's Hartford, CT office and remote work. State of CT benefits package, including generous time-off, health insurance covering medical, dental and vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement for continuing education, and paid leave. Expected salary ranges from $70,000 - $90,000, but the final salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
