Quality Control Inspector
Santa Fe Springs, CA
The Quality Control Inspector ensures machined aerospace parts meet rigorous client and regulatory demands. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position oversees receiving, calibration, in-process, and final inspection workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Use metrology equipment like gages, micrometers, and Oasis video systems.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process (CNC floor), and final dimensional inspections.
- Complete AS9102 First Article and final inspection reports.
- Manage nonconforming materials and calibrate production inspection gauges.
- Document findings digitally or in writing and review floor planning for accuracy.
- Count, sort, and package approved parts for final delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience : Minimum 3 to 5 years of aerospace inspection experience.
- Standards : Deep familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, and GD&T requirements.
- Skills : Expert blueprint reading, basic DOS/Excel knowledge, and strong surface plate setups.
- Screening : Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screen.
