Key Position Details $7,500 starting bonus for eligible external talent 1 FTE (40 hours per week) Shift: 3:00pm–11:00pm No experience required – will train Job Description Performs and assists with procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanning under the direction of the radiologist, providing timely, quality services to patients. Follows Imaging Department policies to maintain a safe, efficient, and economical environment. Interacts with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure. Principal Responsibilities Complete procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines Identify patient with two identifiers Document accurately all required aspects of the procedure Observe and communicate with patient, responding to needs Maintain a safe patient environment in the procedure area Perform procedures with a high degree of accuracy Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment Maintain work knowledge and competence Gather all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images Verify all imaging has transferred to the storage and retrieval system Provide accurate clerical function using Excellian (electronic medical record) Ensure all documentation is complete post procedure Communicate with supervisor and team, reporting problems, issues, or ideas Provide assistance, ideas and information to support the work of others Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Vocational or technical training; graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology Preferred Qualifications 0 to 2 years of MRI experience Registered Technologist – ARRT required; MRI certification preferred upon hire BLS Tier1 – Basic Life Support (Multisource) required upon hire Physical Demands Medium. Lifting weight up to 32lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy); up to 25lbs. frequently. Pay Range $40.08 to $54.93 per hour.
