About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's operational and strategic success. The COO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, translating strategic priorities into operational execution, and ensuring that resources, workflows, and priorities are in line with the business's evolving needs. This includes regular engagement with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, as well as coaching and supporting the leaders of various functional areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, with a focus on enterprise operations across IT, HR, Finance, and strategic initiatives, and a proven track record of managing complex projects and cross-functional teams within a mission-driven environment. Key responsibilities for the COO at the company include partnering with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, as well as overseeing operational controls, compliance, and governance practices. The role also involves a significant focus on technology and innovation, including enterprise systems, digital infrastructure, and process modernization. The successful candidate will be a champion of data-informed decision-making and automation, and will be adept at preparing materials for the Board of Directors. A background in leading organizational change, operational improvements, and systems modernization initiatives is essential, as is a strong understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, and digital risk mitigation practices. The company values a candidate with an MBA, a Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, or experience in a nonprofit and/or individual membership-based organization, though these are not mandatory.
