About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: NC or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience: 1:2 Charting system experience preferred Description: Targeted start dates available. Interviews will be conducted via phone call. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius. Candidates must work every other weekend. Floating to other units may be required. Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly. Candidates will care for neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatrics. Daily census averages 20 patients. The unit includes interdisciplinary support teams. Patient diagnoses involve complex congenital heart conditions. Specialized procedures and equipment may be required. Travelers may have up to three absences during the contract period. Attendance will be monitored for excessive tardiness. Candidate must manage a variety of nursing skills and assessments. Compliance with additional requirements is expected. The position involves care for critically ill pediatric patients. Pediatric cardiac ICU experience is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in multiple nursing interventions.
