Job Summary:

Seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment at a Free Standing Emergency Department. The role involves conducting point of care testing, performing clerical duties, and supporting ER laboratory operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform point of care testing and laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently.
  
  
• 
  Support clerical functions as assigned by nursing staff and Lab Director to ensure smooth FSED operations.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with laboratory policies and safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with ER staff to provide timely and precise lab results.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to certification requirements and industry best practices.
  
  
• 
  Document test results and laboratory data properly in the EMR system.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), CLS, or Medical Technologist.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of laboratory experience in a clinical setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in point of care testing procedures.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• 
  Willing to perform clerical duties as needed.
  
  
• 
  Able to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call, if required.
