Fitness Director
Job Description & Performance Expectations

JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary objective of the Fitness Director is to maximize the number of members who participate in, and as a
result retain, our paid Personal Training services. This will be accomplished by meeting and exceeding both new
client acquisition and existing client retention goals. This is a salaried exempt position.
The Fitness Director will achieve these objectives by managing and coaching the front-end selling process of the
CrunchOne Kickoff, managing and coaching the delivery of personal training services, and owning the client
experience by guiding each member's journey through our personal training and paid programming.
The Fitness Director is responsible for communicating and upholding company standards and leading by
example. The Fitness Director will ensure that team members consistently execute the basics of punctuality,
dress code compliance, friendliness, and cleanliness.

HOURS
• Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM based on club needs)
• Last Saturday of the month: half day for closeout and events

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Sales & Revenue Performance
• Meet and exceed new client acquisition and existing client retention goals
• Sell directly by performing CrunchOne Kickoffs
• Coach, role play, and guide individual personal trainer direct reports on how to sell
• Manage schedules and direct resources as informed by the various KPIs

Member Experience & Client Journey
• Ensure proper execution and communication of the Client Journey, with emphasis on the first 90 days
• Ensure that all Personal Trainers deliver high-quality programs to their clients backed by a scientific
rationale

Leadership & Team Development
• Hire, train, and manage a team of qualified Personal Trainers
• Conduct meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer direction, motivation, and guidance
toward achieving individual and company goals

Coaching & Client Servicing Expectations
The primary responsibility of the Fitness Director is leadership and business development. Accordingly:
• Client servicing is limited to no more than 5 personal training clients
• Remaining scheduled hours should be dedicated to sales, coaching, member engagement, trainer
development, operational execution, and department growth

Operations, Administration & Compliance
• Compliance with our uniform policy - crunch polo, black pants or shorts & crunch nametag
• Ensure accurate administration of Personal Training services including, but not limited to, usage of the
Enhance program, goal tracking, measurement tracking, program design, and progress reports
• Maintain reports and data for clarity into performance of the business
• Communicate takeaways and plans for improvement to the General Manager
