Concert Golf Partners is seeking a Director of Risk and Claims Management to join our growing team.

The Director, Risk & Claims Management is responsible for leading Concert Golf Partners' enterprise-wide risk management, safety, compliance, and claims programs across its portfolio of private clubs and golf properties. This role serves as the organization's central leader and strategic partner for risk identification, incident prevention, safety culture, training, compliance execution, and claims management, helping clubs identify and address potential risks before they result in losses while continuously improving operational performance and protecting Company assets.

Reporting to the COO, the Director works closely with Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, and club leadership teams to develop and maintain best-in-class risk and safety programs across the portfolio. The position is focused on proactively reducing risk exposures, promoting a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring consistent execution of risk management standards, and effectively managing claims when incidents occur.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

Risk Management, Safety & Loss Prevention Leadership

• Lead and oversee the Company's enterprise-wide risk management and safety strategy across all club operations.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve companywide safety programs, standards, policies, and procedures designed to reduce operational, employee, member, and guest risk exposures.
• Serve as the primary resource and subject matter expert for club leadership on risk management, incident prevention, and safety best practices.
• Conduct regular reviews of operational risks and identify opportunities to strengthen controls, reduce losses, and improve overall risk performance.
• Lead root cause analyses of incidents, claims, and near misses to identify systemic issues and drive preventative corrective actions.
• Utilize claims, incident, and operational data to identify trends and proactively implement risk mitigation strategies across the portfolio.

Club Training, Education & Safety Culture:

• Develop and deliver risk management and safety training programs for club leadership and employees.
• Partner with Operations leaders to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and incident prevention throughout the organization.
• Provide ongoing education and guidance to clubs regarding workplace safety, member and guest safety, fleet safety, and loss prevention best practices.
• Support onboarding, communication, and reinforcement of risk management standards across all locations.

Compliance & Portfolio Risk Governance:

• Establish and monitor compliance with company risk management and safety standards across all clubs.
• Conduct periodic audits, reviews, and assessments to evaluate adherence to policies, procedures, and risk mitigation requirements.
• Maintain consistent execution of risk and safety practices across a geographically diverse portfolio.
• Monitor emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry trends and recommend appropriate organizational responses.

Claims Management & Litigation Oversight

• Lead and oversee all liability, property, auto, environmental, and Workers' Compensation claims programs.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex, high-severity, litigated, or sensitive claims.
• Direct claim strategy, reserving, settlement authority, and resolution planning within established authority levels.
• Manage relationships with defense counsel, TPAs, adjusters, and carriers to ensure effective investigation, litigation management, and claim resolution.
• Conduct regular claim reviews and monitor claim trends, reserves, and loss drivers.
• Partner with internal and external legal counsel on coverage issues, litigation strategy, and settlement negotiations.
• Ensure insights from claims activity are translated into meaningful risk reduction and loss prevention initiatives.

Workers' Compensation Leadership:

• Lead the Workers' Compensation program with a strong focus on injury prevention, return-to-work strategies, and continuous program improvement.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify risk trends, and implement proactive measures to reduce injury frequency and severity.
• Partner with Human Resources and Operations leadership to improve workplace safety and employee well-being.

Carrier, TPA & Vendor Oversight:

• Manage relationships and performance of TPAs, carriers, brokers, adjusters, legal counsel, and other service providers.
• Establish accountability standards and monitor service quality, claim outcomes, and reporting accuracy.
• Support insurance renewals through loss analysis, claims trend reporting, safety performance metrics, and underwriting support.
• Collaborate with brokers and carriers to identify risk improvement opportunities and implement recommended loss control initiatives.

Leadership & Executive Partnership:

• Serve as a strategic partner to Operations leadership and club management teams on all matters related to risk, safety, compliance, and claims.
• Present risk, safety, claims, and loss prevention performance metrics to executive leadership.
• Establish governance standards, reporting processes, and key performance indicators for risk and safety programs.
• Lead special projects and enterprise risk management initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Insurance, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in risk management, safety, insurance, claims, loss prevention, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in enterprise risk management, safety programs, loss prevention, claims administration, and insurance program management.
• Experience leading multi-site or geographically dispersed operations with responsibility for risk, safety, compliance, or claims functions.
• Demonstrated success designing and implementing risk reduction, safety training, and compliance initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Property, and environmental risk management programs.
• Experience managing self-insured retention (SIR) programs, litigation, reserving, and complex casualty claims.
• Hospitality, golf, resort, leisure, real estate, or multi-location operating environment experience preferred.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, financial, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with RMIS platforms, claims reporting, safety analytics, and insurance program administration.
