Mechanical Assembler – 1st Shift

Away Staffing is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a growing manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical assembly experience who are looking for a stable, long-term position with competitive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Schedule

Monday – Friday
5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Overtime may occasionally be required

Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical parts, components, and assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
Inspect assembled products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled units.
Identify and report defective materials, parts, or equipment.
Record production data and complete required documentation.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and assembly instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail.
