About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Business Development to spearhead the aggressive expansion of its services and products within the life sciences sector. The successful candidate will be a high-impact, revenue-driving professional with a proven track record in driving new business and achieving sales targets. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategic territory business plans, identifying and pursuing high-value opportunities, and building strategic relationships with key decision-makers. The VP will be responsible for all essential business development functions, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing new revenue streams, as well as collaborating with internal SMEs to craft compelling solutions. A competitive mindset, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to convert opportunities into long-term partnerships are essential for this position. Applicants for the VP of Business Development role at the company should have a BS in business, marketing, or a similar field, with a preference for an MBA or MS. A minimum of 10 years' experience in life sciences company sales and marketing or professional product firms is required, with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving business results. The ideal candidate will have expertise in consultative, insight-focused account-based selling, a comprehensive understanding of life science customer experience, and a proven ability to lead cross-functionally. Strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills are a must, as is the ability to think strategically, build relationships, and adapt to changing market conditions. The role demands a results-oriented individual with a relentless drive to win new business and a willingness to travel up to 50%.
