Assistant Director of Human Resources

Support campus-wide people operations at SUNY ESF by assisting the Director of Human Resources across policy, hiring, compliance, and employee-facing programs. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Human Resources with administering and developing campus-wide HR policies and procedures . Maintain a high level of customer service for the campus community through HR processes and support. Oversee recruitment and employment activities. Process employment transactions as part of day-to-day HR operations. Supervise the Office Assistant . Serve as the New York State Ethics Officer . Coordinate employee immigration matters with an approved law firm . Assist the Director with employee relations for UUP . Partner with the College’s Affirmative Action Officer on EEO/AA issues. Serve as the College’s Title IX Coordinator . Requirements Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. Five years of progressively responsible human resource administration experience. Experience interpreting and implementing union contract provisions. Excellent written and oral communication skills . Master’s degree from an accredited institution. SUNY State-operated experience in Human Resources.
