Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Schedule
Nights; choose 36-hr or 48-hr schedule

Assignment Details
Patient ratio: 1:5

Requirements
- Minimum: 1 year RN experience
- License: Valid RN license required at time of submission
- Required: BLS in hand at time of submission
- Charting system: Epic (preferred)
- Key clinical skills:
- Med/Surg and post-op care
- Telemetry monitoring
- IV therapy (including central line management)
- Blood product administration
- Wound care and surgical drains
- Feeding tube care, oxygen therapy, suctioning
- PCA management, insulin/heparin administration

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to the medical-surgical population.
- Monitor and assess patient health status and responses to treatments.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Weekend expectation: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holiday rotation per manager
- Pre-approved time off: 1 (per contract)
- Floating: Required to like units within scope as needed
- Modules: Completed onsite during orientation; RN modules average 4-6 hours (non-billable)
