Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist:

• You will perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation.
• You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
• You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
• You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Dept. of Health & Rehabilitative services.
• ACR Mammography Accreditation
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography
• Minimum of 1 year of current/recent diagnostic imaging experience (hospital or outpatient setting) preferred
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
