Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of clinical experience and ARDMS certification to perform diagnostic imaging studies.

Job Details

• 13-week assignment in the Ultrasound department,
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM,
• Performs abdomen, OB/GYN, pediatric, basic vascular, and small parts ultrasound studies,
• May perform interventional procedures,
• Uses PACS and RIS systems for imaging and reporting,
• Uses Epic for charting,
• May rotate within department, divisions, and off-site clinics as needed,

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Ultrasound Program,
• Minimum of 1 year full-time clinical ultrasound experience required,
• ARDMS certification required,
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred),
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient identification, preparation, and relevant history review prior to exams,
• Explains procedures to patients and maintains patient confidentiality and professional conduct,
• Utilizes universal precautions and safety techniques appropriate to patient status,
• Maintains and troubleshoots ultrasound equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed,
• Transports and transfers patients per departmental guidelines,
• Participates in continuing education to stay current on imaging techniques and equipment,
• Flu vaccine required with no medical or religious exemptions allowed,
• Local candidates accepted with a 60-mile radius rule from Boston, at a reduced rate
