Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Charming Heart of Texas – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us
Imagine a career that truly gives voice to purpose — as a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Texas's evolving communities, your efforts will do more than address communication and swallowing challenges. They will ignite potential, restore confidence, and nurture human connection — from young ones articulating their first words to older adults relishing newfound independence.
This position offers a distinctive chance to assist a diverse demographic across their life stages in a hybrid setting that includes both outpatient therapy and the occasional inpatient care. If you are committed to enhancing pediatric language skills, addressing adult neurogenic communication issues, or navigating geriatric cognitive and linguistic rehabilitation, you will discover both satisfaction and flexibility in this role.
Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups using a variety of standardized evaluations and observational methods.
Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Administer individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care strategies.
Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinical setting.
Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a coherent care continuum throughout the treatment process.
Keep precise and timely documentation that aligns with organizational, state, and federal standards.
Stay updated with innovations in the field through continual education and collaboration with peers.
A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for individuals of all ages, with a strong knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Capability to modify therapy techniques to meet a variety of cultural and linguistic needs.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving competencies.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
A competitive salary package based on experience.
Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance and varied patient caseloads.
Opportunities to hone your skills in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday remuneration.
Variety of health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A nurturing, team-oriented environment committed to top-quality care and lifelong learning.
In this position, you'll do more than deliver speech therapy — you'll immerse yourself in a community-centered mission aimed at restoring voices, bolstering communication, and creating joyous moments through one of the most fundamental human experiences: understanding another person.
You'll collaborate with clinicians who treat each other like family, in an environment that values cooperation over competition. Every patient comes with a unique narrative; we trust you to help craft how their story unfolds.
This region exudes a rhythm of life that marries innovation with warm southern charm. Surrounded by scenic landscapes and vibrant urban living, it's a locale for individuals seeking to balance the tranquility of nature with a rich cultural tapestry.
Families frequent local parks for music festivals and picnics, while outdoor enthusiasts explore scenic trails, kayak serene waters, or indulge in weekend trips to nearby artisanal marketplaces. Culinary adventurers delight in a range of options from simple street food to gourmet dining experiences.
The artistic spirit is evident through lovely murals, lively music venues, and engaging community festivals that foster connection among diverse populations. Professionals here reap the rewards of not just a fulfilling lifestyle but a favorable economic environment, complete with no state income tax, an affordable cost of living, and an expanding healthcare sector that provides excellent career prospects.
Whether you're a newcomer to the field or a seasoned veteran ready to venture into fresh territory, you will discover ample room to develop — both personally and professionally.
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by results but by empathy. Someone who envisions a future of self-expression for a shy child, who perceives the challenges faced by a stroke patient and recognizes an indomitable spirit.
You may be a pediatric expert wanting to broaden your expertise into adult service areas — or a neuro specialist looking to incorporate early intervention into your approach.
No matter your passion, if you are ready to serve with empathy and lead with skill, we are eager to welcome you.
If you feel that speech encompasses more than mere sound, and therapy transcends tasks — if you value building trust as the foundation for achieving goals, and laughter alongside language — then this role may very well be the next chapter in your professional journey.
