Registered Nurse - PICU

$2692.80/week - Job Summary: Seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced pediatric critical care setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety. Responsibilities: Administer comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, including those on ventilators and CPAP therapy. Float between NICU, L&D, and postpartum units as needed, providing assistance and support to staff. Perform detailed assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret arrhythmias, including heart rate calculations and rhythm identification. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to pediatric needs. Complete required pre-employment modules, annual training, and orientation to ensure compliance with hospital protocols. Maintain accurate documentation and verify all certifications, licenses, and compliance documentation prior to assignment. Qualifications: Current New Jersey or Compact RN license in hand. Minimum of 2 years PICU experience with proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation. BLS and PALS certifications required; ability to pass a basic arrhythmia exam with a minimum score of 80%. Ability to work night shift (3x12 hours) and float across units; flexible with scheduled weekends. Successful completion of COVID-19 vaccination series and booster required at submission.
