Occupational Therapist, (OT)

St. Catherine Rehab Center Job Type: Full Time Position Overview Occupational Therapist (OT) responsible for assessment, intervention, and management of adult and geriatric patients in a medical rehabilitation program. Provides care under the guidance of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and therapy students. Assumes supervisory duties when required. Core Responsibilities Assume responsibility for patient care overseen by Certified OT Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and OT students. Orient staff and students; assume supervisory duties in the absence of the designated supervisor. Assess patients’ needs and initiate appropriate occupational therapy interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to maintain professional practice standards. Observe and evaluate treatment outcomes and progress toward short‑ and long‑term goals. Recommend changes to physician when necessary. Conduct accurate and timely assessments and reassessments, including QI scoring, in accordance with policy. Assess and manage pain impacting functional participation; make appropriate interventions and physician contacts. Qualifications and Requirements Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment. Current CPR/BLS certification. Effective oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred. Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred but not required.
