Business Attorney - Transactional (2 yrs experience)

Business Law Group, in downtown Colorado Springs, is seeking an experienced transactional business attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and be able to manage their own caseload, with our mentoring, collaboration, and assistance. Knowledge of tax law as it relates to LLCs, S corporation, business sales and acquisitions, and other general business transactions would be helpful.

*Duties:*

* Forming new LLCs and S corporations
* Drafting complex LLC Operating Agreements and Shareholder Agreements
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
* Negotiating, drafting, and completing due diligence for asset purchase agreements
* Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
* Drafting other business legal documents
* Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
* Tracking and entering your billable time
* Handling administrative tasks related to cases
* Billable hour expectation is 1,500 hours per year

*Experience and Requirements:*

* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
* Admission to the Colorado bar
* Excellent attention to detail and an ability to drive projects to completion
* Proven experience in legal drafting, negotiation, and business transactional work
* Strong research and writing skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
