This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare finance, cost structures, and regulatory environments. The ideal candidate will be analytical, collaborative, and passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through financial insight. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST or CST time zone.We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.Primary Responsibilities:Develop, maintain and refine financial models used in forecasting that assess company performance and strategic initiatives and enhance modeling reliabilityCreate, refresh and tie-out monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. This includes monthly actuals reconciliation, budget and forecast support reportingConduct variance analysis to understand deviations from plan and providing insights on corrective actionsSolid research and analysis skills - Conduct analysis of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of improvementsEnsure financial models align with business rules, provide support with business case development related to scalable reporting structuresPresenting financial analysis, findings, and recommendations to senior leadershipYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:BS / BA Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, OR related degree3+ years of Financial Analysis experience with solid capability to translate financial data into executive reportingExperience in enhancing financial process focusing on reliability and accuracy and efficiently handle ad hoc requestsAdvanced experience with Microsoft ExcelAbility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST or CST time zone from Monday - FridayPreferred Qualifications:Experience in analytical skills in Microsoft Excel workbooksExperience in Power BITelecommuting Requirements:Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacyMust live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet serviceSoft Skills:Proven solid communication skills with ability to convey financial findings in a clear and concise mannerProven to be skilled in multi-tasking and prioritizing workloadsProven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight financial deadlinesProven ability to work autonomously on special projects*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
