What You'll Do

Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on review of records and clinical interviews with inmates
Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans aligned with inmate needs
Document treatment activities and evaluations in health records accurately
Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as required
Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theories and techniques
Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures in mental health service delivery

What You Need

Required:

Active CA License (LCSW or LPCC)
US Citizenship (for ICE clearance)
Experience in mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and counseling
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends

Preferred:

Prior experience in correctional or forensic mental health settings

About the Assignment This position is located within a secure correctional facility in California City, providing non-medical, clinical mental health services to inmates. The Mental Health Therapist will focus on assessments, treatment planning, interventions, and documentation to support inmate mental health needs. The facility values professionalism, confidentiality, and a compassionate approach to mental health care.
