Director of IT Operations - Platform Scaling

Location: Los Angeles, CA $$ – 125 – 150k Reports To: SVP, Operations & Innovation Travel: 25% — 40% (as required for deployments, site visits, and client meetings) About the Role We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations Technology to oversee the performance, deployment, and expansion of our proprietary technology platform across our regional portfolio. This strategic yet hands-on role bridge technology solutions with real-world operational execution to drive yield, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Full P&L Ownership: Drive the financial performance of technology deployments across assets. Develop proformas, establish pricing logic, track revenue/margins, and identify yield-improvement opportunities. Platform Deployment & Scaling: Lead end-to-end rollouts across new and existing locations. Standardize onboarding playbooks, enforcement logic, and field adoption. Operational Integration: Partner with regional and site leadership to integrate tech seamlessly into day-to-day operations and field workflows. Client Engagement & Revenue Support: Act as a senior point of contact for tech-related client discussions, present platform metrics during RFPs, and demonstrate ROI to key stakeholders. Team & Vendor Management: Build, recruit, and mentor a high-performing deployment/analytics team. Manage third-party vendor relationships (including hardware, payment platforms, and enforcement tech partners) to ensure uptime and SLA adherence. Training & Enablement: Oversee training programs for both internal operations teams and client personnel to ensure consistent system utilization. Performance Reporting & Product Innovation: Track critical KPIs (utilization, conversion, labor impact, revenue lift) and collaborate with internal development teams to prioritize feature updates. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of leadership experience in mobility, parking management, hardware/software deployment, or operationally intensive environments. Financial & Business Acumen: Proven track record of P&L management, budget creation, and scaling tech solutions across multi-site portfolios. Technical Familiarity: In-depth understanding of access management systems, pay-by-cell solutions, automated enforcement tools (e.g., LPR systems), and revenue models.
