Product Marketing Engineer

Your Role

As a Product Marketing Engineer, your mission is to maximize exhaust management systems (EMS) product opportunities, both point of use abatement and integrated, and deliver high returns to Edwards in monetary and strategic terms. This position supports new and after-market sales products through technical and application know-how for North America.

You will

• Work with resources from across Edwards (functionally and geographically) to deliver required business outcomes, via contribution to:
• The regional product management of EMS products for semiconductor and related industries.
• The development of specific marketing plans and activities for products to establish, enhance, or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Contribute to business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.
• Conduct market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs (incl. performance, CoO, and form factor).
• Work within multi-disciplined teams including applications engineering, manufacturing (Product Company), Regional and Division product management, and sales to develop new products, enhance existing products and promote existing products for sale.
• Identify new product opportunities, as well as product improvement and upgrade solutions, to meet customer cost of ownership (CoO) reduction targets, customer and local environmental regulations, and process uptime improvements.
• Provide training for colleagues to articulate and deliver product value propositions to customers in a compelling manner consistent with a solution value based sales strategy. Prepare presentation materials and present the company's products and solutions to customers of all levels succinctly and with clarity.
• Contribute to the product ongoing development within the organization to ensure adequate attention is given to both internal and external opportunities and threats.
• Work with colleagues to make sound evaluations of the market, competitors, customers and technologies in support of Sector Managers and Key Account Teams.
• Provide consulting and technical support for product related questions from colleagues.
• Recommend equipment solutions required for existing and new applications.
• Support new applications, startup assistance, and qualifications at customer sites.
• Continue to develop application knowledge of Edwards products and interaction with OEM tool sets.
• Support regional product marketing activities and roadmap alignment.
• Assist account teams with PN identification and customer quotations.

To Succeed, You Will Need

Education

• B.S. degree in a technical related discipline is preferred, or at least 5 years' experience in technical product marketing, technical sales, or product management support. Strong chemical and mechanical background desirable.

Relevant Previous Experience

• 3-5 years experience in the semiconductor industry is highly desirable.

Knowledge Areas/Skills

• Excellent oral & written communication skills, in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
• Working knowledge of MS Office Products
• Positive customer-focused attitude and the ability to successfully interact within a dynamic team environment
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Attention to details and problem-solving abilities
• High degree of self-reliance and ability to work independently
• Ability to identify and influence decision makers within Edwards and the customer's organization
• Actively seek and acquire knowledge to solve complex problems and create technical solutions
• Understand the commercial drivers behind the customer's and Edwards' technical initiatives and how they fit within a business and sales strategy

Other Requirements

• Ability to travel domestically (approx 30%) and occasionally internationally

Job Location

Hybrid This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Edwards Customer Center in Haverhill, MA.
