Ultrasound Technologist (Registered) – Prostate Sonography

Location: New York, NY 10029
Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hour
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have strong ultrasound imaging experience, hands-on experience with VU Ultrasound systems, and proficiency in prostate sonography.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following departmental protocols
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures
• Transfer images accurately to PACS and physician workstations
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout procedures
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed
• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and departmental workflow
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members
• Assist with orientation and training of new staff when needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required
• Experience with VU Ultrasound systems required
• Prostate sonography experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Strong ultrasound imaging and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in hospital-based radiology departments
• PACS and EMR experience
• Strong attention to detail and clinical accuracy
