We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator with strong hard bid experience to join our tight-knit, growing team in Columbus.


Position Summary:


The Commercial Estimator will manage, prepare, and execute complete cost estimates for a wide variety of commercial construction projects. This role requires a professional who thrives on diversity in project types and possesses deep expertise in the lump-sum hard bid process. You will analyze blueprints, specifications, and vendor proposals to deliver highly accurate, competitive bids that secure successful projects.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the prepar ation of complete cost estimates, budget estimates, and hard bids for diverse commercial construction projects.
• Review and analyze project blueprints, specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documents.
• Quantify take-offs for all labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
• Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal project management teams.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
• Degree is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated success and deep familiarity with the hard bid (lump-sum) delivery method.
• Proven track record estimating a diverse range of commercial project types (e.g., corporate offices, institutional, municipal, retail, or industrial).
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
