SNF Healthcare is searching for a full-time Unit Clerk to join our team! This position will work with the nursing staff to provide clerical and select administrative services to facilitate the unit's operations as well as assist the Admissions Director.
Responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone on the assigned unit
- Coordinate doctor's appointments for residents
- Coordinate medical transport for residents
- File patient-related forms
- Maintains consistent communication with caregivers, family members.
- Ensure room and chart readiness for new admissions to the unit
Requirements:
- Experience creating and fostering relationships within the healthcare community
- Some familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to build rapport with residents and coworkers
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to work well in teams
