Job Title: Lead Product Certification Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end product certification for industrial control products, from initial assessment through approval and ongoing maintenance.

• Determine applicable standards, including UL 508, UL 60947, CSA, and IEC 60947 series.

• Coordinate with certification agencies on submissions, technical reviews, approvals, and plant audits.

• Review product designs, electrical and mechanical drawings, components, and materials for compliance.

• Evaluate engineering and material changes for certification impact and manage required re-evaluations.

• Resolve audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions.

• Integrate certification milestones into NPI/NPD schedules to support timely product launches.

• Track certification status, project milestones, audit actions, and compliance risks using Excel, Jira, or Power BI.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

• 5+ years of product design experience.

• Experience certifying industrial control products, including contactors, starters, relays, pilot devices, or control circuit products.

• Strong knowledge of UL, NEC, IEEE, CSA, and applicable industry standards.

• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Experience with NPI/NPD stage-gate processes and certification milestone planning.

• Formal project management experience or training, such as PMP or equivalent. xhyhwjd

• Familiarity with international certification schemes, including CB Scheme and CE/UKCA, and hazardous-location or functional-safety requirements.
