Sue Sumrell is partnering with a well-established, market-leading manufacturer headquartered in Portland that is looking for an Accounting Manager to help modernize accounting processes, strengthen costing and inventory practices, and partner closely with an exceptional CFO.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant ready to take the next step into leadership.
What You'll Do
✅ Lead general ledger accounting and month-end close
✅ Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, prepaids, fixed assets, and compliance reporting
✅ Help build and refine standard costing processes
✅ Improve inventory accounting and reporting
✅ Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across accounting operations
✅ Supervise a tenured, high-performing AP/AR team

What We're Looking For
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. And 4+ years of progressive GAAP accounting experience
✔ Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
✔ Exposure to cost accounting and inventory accounting
✔ Process improvement mindset with a passion for efficiency and automation
✔ Collaborative, down-to-earth personality who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
