Job Description

TriBeam is looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and self-starting team member to not only support TriBeam's immediate business needs, but also help guide us in becoming a best-in-class organization.

We seek a rigorous and commercially minded Credit Analyst to support the performance, risk management, and strategic development of our solar loan and lease portfolios. The Credit Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating credit policy, identifying portfolio trends, supporting the Credit Committee process, and delivering high-quality portfolio reporting to capital partners and Management. This role sits at the intersection of credit risk, data analysis, and capital markets.

This role is on the Credit Team and reports to the Chief of Staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Credit Committee and Governance

• Lead the preparation and facilitation of Credit Committee meetings, including developing agenda materials, presenting portfolio and credit policy updates, and documenting decisions and action items.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Credit Committee coordination across internal stakeholders, ensuring timely distribution of materials and follow-through on Committee directives.
• Maintain Credit Committee records, policy documentation, and approval logs in accordance with governance standards.

Portfolio Analysis & Trend Identification

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the loan and lease portfolios on an ongoing basis, proactively identifying trends, concentrations, emerging risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on delinquency, default, prepayment, and loss patterns across product types, geographies, installer channels, and vintage cohorts.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical frameworks that surface actionable insights for management and credit policy decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align portfolio monitoring objectives with the company's overall strategic and capital goals.

Credit Analysis & Recommendations

• Analyze the effectiveness of existing credit policies and underwriting criteria against observed portfolio performance outcomes.
• Identify policy gaps, segmentation opportunities, and structural improvements that can improve portfolio performance, reduce credit losses, or enhance approval efficiency.
• Prepare data-driven credit policy recommendations and present findings to the Credit Committee and senior leadership, including proposed changes and expected impact.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive benchmarking, and regulatory changes that may impact credit policy or portfolio management strategies.
• Collaborate with the underwriting and risk management teams to implement approved credit policy changes and monitor their downstream effects.

Portfolio Reporting

• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful portfolio reporting packages for capital partners, investors, and Management, including monthly and quarterly performance reports.
• Develop reporting templates and narratives that clearly communicate portfolio health, credit trends, key performance metrics, and risk indicators to both financial and non-financial audiences.
• Manage relationships with capital partners as they relate to reporting obligations, data requests, and covenant monitoring.
• Ensure all reporting is prepared in compliance with applicable investor agreements, regulatory guidelines, and internal governance standards.

Required Experience/Skills

• This person must be hands-on, entrepreneurial and strategic in the way he/she looks at opportunities to improve the way the business is managed and be an advocate of change.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in credit analysis, capital markets, or portfolio management, preferably within solar or renewable energy finance.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data, build credit models, and derive actionable insights from large datasets.
• Deep understanding of credit risk metrics, consumer lending underwriting criteria, and loan and lease portfolio performance dynamics.
• Experience supporting or leading credit committee processes, including preparation of materials and documentation of decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative analysis into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership and capital partners.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting concepts and experience preparing investor-facing portfolio reports.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite and building presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Google Slides.
• Highly organized, flexible, and efficient with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines on a routine basis.
• Decision-making grounded in ethics, integrity, and transparent communication.
• Demonstrates strong project management skills and ability to support multiple priorities and stakeholders across credit, partner, and portfolio risk.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in the solar industry (loan and/or lease).
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and portfolio reporting automation.
• Familiarity with ABS or structured finance reporting and investor relations.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling techniques (logistic regression, scorecards, vintage analysis).
• Experience building or validating credit scorecards or risk models.
• Experience with business intelligence or data visualization platforms (ex. Power BI).

Education

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
