The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon. Position Summary: Contract preparation, formation, solicitation, cost/price analysis and contract administration. Contract procurement planning and maintenance, reviews and recommends contract modifications and amendments. Prepares and reviews bids and contracts. Coordinates projects with department managers. Reviews correspondence as well as establishes and maintains contact with contractors. Monitors project contract invoicing. Oversees contract files and computer management system. Other duties may be assigned. Position Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business preferred, High school diploma. Four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and contracting experience. Competent in computers, copier and fax machines. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or YKHC board of Directors. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
