The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating major aspects of the establishment and development of the Christopher M. Barnett Autism Laboratory. This position will work directly with the Executive Director to start and set up new and ongoing projects of the Laboratory including efforts in: research and evaluation, community engagement, education and training, and knowledge translation and dissemination. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least four years of directly related experience preferred. Project management on externally funded initiatives required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's Degree preferred. Training experience desired. Required Skills and Abilities:
*Willingness and ability, and experience working with individuals with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities. Experience recruiting and working with Autistic individuals as research participants by utilizing evidence-based practices of inclusive research design. * Must have experience working with individuals with lived experience of disability/Autism.
*Demonstrated ability to train and present in large groups
*Demonstrated ability to problem solve
*Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle multiple tasks and work well as a part of a team
* Strong written and oral communication skills
*Ability to travel to locations that may not be accessible via transportation
* Volunteer recruitment and management experience
* Willing to travel throughout the U.S. as needed
* Willing to work some evenings and weekends
*Demonstrated computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and qualitative or quantitative software.
*Working knowledge of all applicable computer software and applicable professional principles. Essential duties:
*Program Manager will organize and manage multiple research projects from initiation. Grant writing and submissions, setting up the research projects protocols, IRB submission, and then leading the day-to-day of the specific project.
*Manager will work with the ED and other team members to identify and research new funding opportunities, potentially participating in the grant writing process. Reading and denoting possible funding opportunities, participating in RFP webinars, engaging in secondary data research as it pertains to a new funding opportunity.
*The Manager will work with the IRB and the BCPH's grants administration team to ensure that new projects are created, monitored, and completed by providing support to the Executive Director and other researchers/scholars.
*Under the supervision of Gould-Taylor the Manager will be responsible for gathering, generating, maintaining and analyze program data, assist with report development and support database development and maintenance. Will assist with IRB applications and reporting.
*The Manager will identify and implement strategies to improve program efficiency and to ensure the accuracy of data.
*The Manager will initiate internal and external contacts within broad guidelines provided by Gould-Taylor, as needed, to exchange information to complete work. Additionally the manager will support communication, engagement, and meetings with new potential partners, advisory board members, and/or faculty and staff members being recruited to join the Laboratory.
*The Manager will provide information for project/operation budget development within area of expertise and as requested by Gould-Taylor and may monitor portions of the budget.
*As staffing expands the Manager will participate in selection of candidates, performance evaluation, training, and general HR issues. Will provide task supervision to student workers as needed.
*Performs other duties as assigned. This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
