Motion Graphics Designer

At H&R Block, the Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for creating high-performing motion creative that supports customer acquisition, conversion, and revenue growth across paid media channels. This role combines motion design expertise with a performance marketing mindset, developing content that is optimized to drive measurable business outcomes while maintaining H&R Block's brand standards.

Reporting into Creative within Marketing, this role partners closely with Performance Media, Analytics, Brand Marketing, Creative, and Customer Experience teams to develop data-informed creative solutions. The Motion Graphics Designer leverages campaign performance data, audience insights, and testing results to create effective motion assets that improve engagement and conversion across paid channels.

Day to Day

• Create motion graphics, animated advertisements, and video assets across paid social, display, video, connected TV, and other performance marketing channels
• Develop conversion-focused creative that supports acquisition, engagement, and revenue objectives
• Partner with Performance Marketing teams to translate campaign strategies into compelling motion concepts
• Design creative variations that support A/B testing and optimization initiatives
• Apply campaign insights, audience data, and performance metrics to inform creative decisions and improve asset effectiveness
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, marketers, and analysts throughout campaign development
• Ensure creative assets align with brand standards while meeting channel-specific advertising specifications and requirements
• Support experimentation efforts through rapid creative iteration and performance-driven design thinking
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and execution
• Stay current on digital advertising trends, platform innovations, and emerging motion design techniques

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Animation, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, animation, advertising creative, or related disciplines
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design work across paid media and digital advertising environments
• Experience creating motion assets for paid social, digital video, display advertising, and performance marketing campaigns
• Knowledge of performance marketing principles, creative testing methodologies, and customer acquisition strategies
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, animation, typography, and design fundamentals
• Proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud, and related motion design tools
• Experience leveraging campaign performance insights to improve creative effectiveness and drive measurable outcomes
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
