This is an exciting, fast paced practice with a strong mission and commitment to providing high quality care./ppPurpose: To assist the providers as well as the other nursing staff and medical assistants in providing efficient and high quality patient care./ppTravel may be required from time to time to complete assigned responsibilities./ppPrinciple Responsibilities:/pulliTriage patients and take vital signs/liliDocument all patient care in electronic medical record (EMR)/liliComplete patient paperwork including prior authorizations, home health paperwork, medical supply paperwork, etc./liliAssist provider with:/liulliPerforming exams, invasive procedures and minor surgeries/liliOrdering standard laboratory tests for chronic disease visits/liliCompleting quality management in EMR/liliReconciling medications and allergies for each patient at each clinical encounter/liliE-prescribing medications once the appropriate changes to the medicines have been made by the provider./liliSchedule consultation appointments or imaging appointments for patients/liliPrepare patients for examination or procedures/liliSet up for procedures/liliRespond to patient messages, schedule appointments and procedures/liliClean and stock rooms, and update inventory records/liliAdminister medications and vaccines upon satisfactory assessment of competency/liliPerform patient tests and screenings, including x-rays, upon satisfactory assessment of competency/liliPerform waived laboratory testing as ordered by physician upon satisfactory assessment of competency/liliRemove sutures or staples from superficial wounds, as well as casts, splints, and other external devices./liliWork through assigned tasks in EMR/liliCommunicate with other physician offices, patients, and other ancillary health care offices like pharmacies at the direction of the providers/li/ul/ulpAdditional Responsibilities for LPNs with active license:/pulliStart IVs, upon satisfactory assessment of competency/li/ulpQualifications:/pulliSatisfactory completion of CMCF Medical Assistant Training Program/liliCertified Medical Assistant preferred but not required/liliExperience in a medical office desired/liliExcellent customer service and phone communication skills/liliBasic experience with computers/liliAbility to manage time, multitask, and handle high-stress environments/li/ul/div
