Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg NeuroWe are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med/Surg Neuro unit, where you will provide care to both medical/surgical and neurological patients with a history of behavioral health disorders. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from strokes, transient ischemic attacks, and various acute neurological conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Neuro & Behavioral Health unit.Monitor and assess patients' health and intervene as necessary.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge care.Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.Contract DetailsContract Length: 26 weeks, with the potential for extension up to 51 weeks.Start Dates: Flexible start dates including 10/05/2026, 10/19/2026, 11/02/2026, 11/16/2026, and 11/30/2026.Shifts: 12-hour shifts with a guarantee of 36 hours per week.Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend.Floating: Required to other post-surgical and med/surg inpatient floors.QualificationsActive Registered Nurse license in Kansas or Multi-State license.Minimum of 1 year of acute care medical/surgical nursing experience.Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).AHA BLS certification is required at the time of submission; CPI and NIHSS certifications are preferred.No prior hits on licensure history.Vaccination and Health RequirementsProof of immunity for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella via titer or vaccination series completion.TDaP vaccine and Influenza vaccine or exemption requested during flu season.TB documentation required.Unit OverviewThe Neuro & Behavioral Health unit is a 31-bed facility that specializes in acute and subacute care for stroke patients as well as those with other neurological and behavioral health concerns.
