Investment Associate - Real Estate Private Credit

We are exclusively partnering with a leading Miami-based real estate private-credit investment manager. The firm provides tailored financing solutions to real estate owners and developers across the United States, with a focus on transitional and opportunistic bridge lending, development financing, land acquisition and other complex lending situations. The platform has an established track record spanning more than 15 years, with over $2.5 billion invested and approximately $1 billion in assets under management. Its vertically integrated model, discretionary capital base and extensive network of borrowers and intermediaries allow it to identify attractive opportunities and execute transactions efficiently. Following significant growth over the past 18 months and strong deal flow throughout 2026, the firm is seeking to add an Analyst or Associate to its investment team in Miami. Role Summary The successful candidate will support the origination, underwriting and execution of real estate credit investments across the full transaction lifecycle. Working within a lean and entrepreneurial team, the individual will receive significant exposure to live transactions and work directly with senior investment professionals. The role offers the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of real estate lending, transaction structuring and credit risk across multiple property types and US markets. Key Responsibilities Investment Analysis and Underwriting Evaluate prospective real estate lending opportunities across a range of property types, geographies and financing situations. Build and maintain detailed financial models, including property-level cash-flow projections, debt sizing, returns analysis and downside scenarios. Analyse historical and projected operating performance, rent rolls, development budgets, capital structures and business plans. Assess property valuations, market dynamics, sponsorship strength and the proposed sources and uses of capital. Perform sensitivity analysis to evaluate downside protection, repayment risk and potential investment outcomes. Assist in determining appropriate loan structures, pricing, covenants and risk mitigants. Prepare clear and detailed underwriting materials for consideration by senior investment professionals and the investment committee. Due Diligence and Transaction Execution Support transactions from initial screening through underwriting, approval, documentation and closing. Coordinate property, market, financial, legal, insurance and third-party due diligence. Review appraisals, engineering reports, environmental assessments and other third-party materials. Work with borrowers, brokers, legal counsel and external advisers to obtain and evaluate transaction information. Assist with the preparation and negotiation of term sheets, investment committee papers and closing materials. Monitor transaction workstreams and help ensure that key deadlines and closing requirements are met. Identify material investment risks and communicate findings clearly to senior members of the team. Origination and Market Coverage Support senior team members in identifying and evaluating new lending opportunities. Conduct market research across relevant US geographies, property sectors and real estate credit markets. Develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, sponsors, brokers and other market participants. Assist in preparing financing proposals and other materials for prospective borrowers. Monitor market activity, comparable transactions and emerging investment themes. Monitor the financial and operational performance of existing investments. Review borrower reporting, construction progress, leasing activity, budgets and updated business plans. Maintain internal portfolio models and prepare periodic performance reporting. Assist with loan amendments, extensions, restructurings and other asset-management matters where required. Identify potential issues within the portfolio and support the development of appropriate solutions. Candidate Profile One to three years of relevant experience within real estate private credit, commercial real estate lending, real estate private equity, investment banking or a related investment environment. Strong academic record from a leading university. Demonstrable interest in real estate credit, lending and transaction execution. Strong financial-modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities. Understanding of real estate cash flows, capital structures and investment fundamentals. Exposure to live transactions and an ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively. Highly detail-oriented, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Commercially minded, proactive and capable of taking increasing ownership of assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative and comfortable working within a lean, entrepreneurial team. Willingness to work on-site in Miami, with either an existing connection to the area or a clear commitment to relocating.
