AV Technician

The installation division is currently seeking a career-minded individual to jointheir installation team. The following is a general overview of skills and abilities soughtin an Audio Visual Technician at Mocklin Audio Visual, Inc. as they relate to therequirements of the position: POSITION - RESPONSIBILITIES Rack construction, pulling cable, and preparing equipment for installation Installation of completed racks, projectors, monitors and related sub mounts Assists with testing of system components to assure system completeness andconvention Uses company approved installation methods and techniques Ensures all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards andconventions Assures each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installationdrawings Maintain an on-going dialog with Lead Project Engineer, and Project Manager,ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedulesand expectations The Installation Technician is responsible for maintaining his assigned equipmentinventory, and assigned tools Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management / leadengineer Follows and maintains proper safety practices Maintain professional appearance QUALIFICATIONS Ability be a team player and maintain high motivation and attention to detail Must be willing to work occasional overtime if needed Arrive to work on time and ready to work Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds above head both on ground or on ladder unassisted Strong written, verbal and customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various internal departments and personnel Ability to pass a DOJ Background Check Strong background in electronics and low voltage integration including a solid jobhistory/tenure working for an established AV contractor Proven track record implementing Extron, Crestron and AMX audio visualsoftware, as well as various DSP audio processors Current or pursuing CTS and CTS-I is a plus Audio Visual certifications are a plus (Extron, Crestron, AMX, Bi-AMP, etc.) Experience installing, testing and troubleshooting complex AV systems, as well asstrong knowledge of proper equipment rack wiring standards and proper installation andmounting methods for flat panel displays, projection screens and various structure types General proficiency in specialized software applications specific to the AV industry;plus, the use of programs such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and MS Word Positive Work Environment, Knowledgeable Team, Competitive Pay, Room forAdditional Training and Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
