Our client is currently seeking a RN - Medical/Surgical

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Observation


Duration: 1-3 Months


Location: Slidell, LA

Schedule:
• Night Shift
• Twelve-Hour Shifts
• Thirty-Six Hours per Week


Job Summary:


The Registered Nurse (RN) provides leadership in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process while adhering to professional nursing standards and applicable nursing regulations. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, coordinates patient care activities, delegates responsibilities appropriately, and supports quality patient outcomes while maintaining a strong commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.


Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Delegate and coordinate activities of nursing and ancillary staff.
• Monitor patient progress and implement interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Utilize clinical data and evidence-based practices to improve patient care.
• Promote patient satisfaction, teamwork, and professional nursing excellence.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Current RN License in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Specialty certification in a relevant clinical area.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Work Environment:
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissues, and communicable diseases.
