Make a meaningful impact by supporting student well-being in elementary schools as a Mental Health Specialist for the 2025/2026 academic year. Work directly with general education students to provide vital social-emotional support through both individual and group sessions, empowering young learners to succeed both in and out of the classroom. Collaborate with educators and staff to implement positive behavior programs, contribute to school-wide professional learning initiatives, and provide tailored support wherever it's needed most.

This contract opportunity is based in the area near Lapeer, MI, with two elementary school positions available. Desired Experience and Credentials:

• Master’s degree or higher is strictly required
• Active Michigan LARA license, or eligibility as outlined by the Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Board
• Acceptable credentials include one of the following:
  • Licensed (or limited licensed under supervision) master’s level social worker, school social worker, psychologist, marriage & family therapist, or professional counselor
  • MDE credentialed master’s level school psychologist
  • School counselor credentials: SCL, NT endorsement, PSCC, or TSCL School counselors must be actively working towards appropriate LPC licensing within 24 months of hire

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and group social emotional support to elementary students
• Develop and implement positive behavioral interventions in classrooms and schools
• Collaborate with teachers and staff for professional learning and wellness initiatives
• Respond flexibly to the evolving needs of students and school communities
