Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated school social worker supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational setting. This contract opportunity focuses on grades K-5, working with a manageable caseload in a supportive environment catering to both general and special education needs.

You’ll work in one school building, allowing you to develop strong relationships with students, teachers, and families. With a weekly commitment of 2-3 days from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, you’ll have the chance to balance your work and personal life while making a difference every day.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must hold a valid School Social Work endorsement and be fully certified
• Prior experience in a school setting, especially with K-5 students, preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to support both general education and special education populations
• Passion for fostering social-emotional growth and resilience in young learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 30-40 students, addressing a variety of needs
• Provide direct interventions, crisis support, and ongoing counseling to elementary students
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop individualized plans
• Advocate for student well-being and connect families with community resources
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of IEP/504 plans as appropriate
• Support a positive and inclusive school culture through proactive social-emotional programming
