Special Education Teacher
American Traveler
American Traveler is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a self-contained elementary classroom, requiring an IL PEL LBS1 credential.
Job Details • Non-clinical school setting within an elementary school,• Self-contained Special Education classroom,
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM,
• 35 billable hours per week, Job Requirements • IL PEL LBS1 license/credential required if applicable,
• CPS (Fingerprinting) and CANTS background checks required prior to start,
• Experience with life skills teaching, low incidence populations, and behavior planning preferred,
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers, Additional Information • Assist students in overcoming academic and behavioral delays,
• Consult with school staff on appropriate behavioral and academic interventions for students in regular and special education,
• Organize and maintain an effective system of communication with the provider team
