The Opportunity Are you a credit professional who loves the analytical side of banking but thrives when interacting with clients and driving deals across the finish line? As a Portfolio Analyst, you will serve as the engine connecting Credit, Loan Operations, and Business Developers. You won't just sit behind a spreadsheet—you’ll be a high-visibility resource managing relationships across the entire relationship and loan lifecycle (from origination and renewal to payoff). You’ll touch a wide spectrum of asset classes, including Commercial Real Estate, Multi-Family, C&I, Equipment, Non-QM and Asset-Based Lending. What You’ll Do Drive the Deal Pipeline: Act as the central air-traffic controller coordinating workflow between Business Developers, Credit Analysts, and Loan Operations. Deliver High-Touch Service: Serve as a primary point of contact for borrowers, ensuring fast turnaround times and an outstanding client experience. Manage Credit Risk: Oversee portfolio health by conducting annual reviews, monitoring covenants, evaluating financial statements, and keeping exceptions low. Work Across Asset Classes: Analyze and structure credit across diverse portfolios (CRE, Multi-Family, C&I, Equipment, Non-QM and ABL). Hit the Road (Occasionally): Travel up to 40% to visit client operations, conduct site visits, and participate in business development efforts. What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance or Accounting major preferred). Experience: 2 to 4 years of commercial credit, portfolio management, or lending experience. Bonus Points: Experience working in credit risk consulting or credit review tailored to community banks is a major plus! Credit Acumen: Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit structuring, and loan documentation.
