Pediatric-Focused Social Worker (LICSW/LMHC)

Job Summary The Social Worker provides clinical social work assessments, interventions, and short‑term therapy primarily to a pediatric population while collaborating with a multidisciplinary health team to develop comprehensive treatment plans that integrate medical, social, and resource issues. Essential Functions Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal, and/or environmental issues. Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans. Collaborates with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. Monitors, evaluates, and records client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan. Qualifications Education: Master of Social Work (MSW) or a Master of Counseling/Psychology/Related field from an accredited program. Licensure: Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Language: Native or near‑native fluency in Spanish preferred. Demonstrated flexibility, autonomy, and capacity for decision‑making. Extensive knowledge of current social work theory and practice; ability to conceptualize, interpret, and discriminate apply theory to practice. Good clinical skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence‑based behavioral health treatment. Ability to make appropriate decisions under pressure, exercise good judgment, and take initiative to meet established productivity standards. Sensitivity to diverse cultures, beliefs, sexual orientation, and lifestyle. Excellent patient interaction and staff collaboration skills. Strong oral and written communication; good planning and organizational skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills to interact effectively with multidisciplinary team members and community resources. Benefits and Compensation Minimum pay range: $92,227 per year. Sign‑on bonus available for eligible non‑MGB employees: $10,000 for LICSW (details available upon request).
