Position Summary Manage daily facilities operations and maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, service call response, work scheduling, field coordination, and work order follow‑through. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily maintenance work, staffing assignments, priorities, service requests, and emergency response needs. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building, utility, grounds, and support systems. Review work orders, schedules, backlog, technician productivity, and customer priorities to support timely completion of work. Work closely with managers, leads, craft personnel, and the customer to resolve operational issues and maintain facility reliability. Support planning, reporting, safety compliance, quality checks, and continuous improvement efforts. Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site‑specific requirements. Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required. Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field. Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules. Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail. Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements. Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles. Prior operations leadership experience in facilities operations and maintenance is required or strongly preferred. Knowledge of work control, service call management, preventive maintenance, and multi‑trade coordination is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal, FDA, research, industrial, laboratory, or mission‑critical facilities is preferred. Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities. Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑trade operations and maintenance team. Physical Requirements This position may require a combination of office work and field work, including walking the facility, visiting mechanical spaces, attending inspections, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying files, tools, or materials. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
