A little about the job....

• Coordinates all inpatient and outpatient scheduling of surgical procedures, pre-admit testing, G.I. Lab procedures, and Pain Clinic procedures.
• Performs general secretarial duties including typing of requested correspondence, typing policies and procedures, and other typing duties as requested. Provides administrative and secretarial support for Perioperative Services.

Qualifications for the job...

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate various office machines required.
• Minimum one year medical office experience and medical terminology required.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Must be able to type 40 wpm.
• Work requires 3-6 months on-the-job training to acquire necessary familiarity with department policies, procedures and forms. Must have interpersonal skills.
• Position requires ability to work in a stressful environment.
