Responsibilities Financial Management / Develop a working knowledge of weekly budget reports in Vantagepoint. Assist in the preparation of scope of work (SOW) and levels of effort (LOE) for proposals. Assist in the preparation of invoices and advise project managers of outstanding payments in coordination with accounting. Corporate Compliance + Risk Assessment / Assist in contract and subcontract review processes and filing, ensuring adherence to jurisdictional requirements and company protocols. Follow company‑established QA/QC procedures and project safety plans. Communication + Collaboration / Communicate and collaborate within the department, other disciplines, regions, and corporate resources. Ensure meeting minutes are logged and sent to respective parties. Assist with marketing requests, including RFQs, proposals, and resumes. Client + Internal Satisfaction / Adhere to project schedules set by the client. Attend meetings with supervisors and complete assigned requests. Be responsive and accessible to address problems and concerns promptly. People Development / Provide feedback on staff performance for management and annual evaluations. Assist with recruiting project team members. May give direction to support staff assigned to projects by supervisors and project managers. Technical / a. Work on projects that include the following scopes: Drainage area maps, roadway design and alignments, sanitary sewer design and force mains, waterline design, traffic control, project manual construction contracts and specs, permits & regulatory, cut‑fill volumes, calculating quantities, ADA regulation. b. Utilize the following software applications: AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD. Requirements Experience + Knowledge + Skills + Ability (KSA) Emerging // Basic understanding and minimal practical experience; requires guidance and supervision. 4+ years of professional experience within a discipline, including 1 year under a Project Manager I+. Knowledge of project management methodologies and lifecycle, industry standards, city, state, and federal rules; tools and software (Microsoft suite, Vantagepoint, Smartsheet). Skills including leadership, communication, time, risk, quality, financial management, negotiation, and problem‑solving. Ability to think strategically, adapt to competing priorities, execute and delegate, collaborate, and perform tasks with high accuracy. Complexity + Decision‑Making Authority Responsible for the success of certain tasks within a moderate project. Must be listed as a Task Manager in Vantagepoint and is not responsible for direct invoicing and billing to clients. Independently performs most assignments with oversight and instruction from supervisors and project managers. Physical & Cognitive Requirements + Environmental Factors Seated and standing position at a workstation. Mobility within office and job sites, including uneven surfaces. Neck movement for computer screens. Repetitive finger movements for mouse and keyboard. Arm movement overhead, below waist, forward, lateral. Object handling from one level to another. Cognitive requirements: selective attention, oral comprehension, oral expression, speech recognition, written comprehension and expression, problem sensitivity, deductive/inductive reasoning, number facility, information ordering, category flexibility, fluency of ideas, originality. Office conditions include extensive use of electronic devices and cutting tools. Outdoor conditions may involve uneven surfaces, confined spaces, extreme weather, noise, and allergens. Safety and equipment use require personal protective equipment. Driving may involve large pick‑up trucks with attached trailers. Expected Work Hours Full‑time position, generally 40 hours per week; hours may fluctuate with department needs including overtime. CobbFendley’s standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST, with a 1‑hour unpaid lunch break.
