Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including obtaining informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions during the facility visit and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities. Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs regarding unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues, ensuring donor safety and eligibility compliance. Support employee hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs. Manage employee incidents, determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, and follow Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate‑level nursing program with state licensing requirements. Licensed LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned. Current CPR and AED certification. Completed state‑required basic IV therapy training. Successfully completed FDA‑approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
