Lab Technician I-III

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join our team at our Albany location! The role assists in the daily operations of the lab by preparing samples and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This is a full‑time onsite position. The role performs lab functions with supervisor assistance, including sample processing, recording data, and maintaining an inventory system. Strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn are key attributes required for this role. Location Taconic Biosciences is seeking a Lab Technician to join our dedicated lab team at our Rensselaer, NY site. The Pay Range $23.07/hr – $38.95/hr. This pay range includes compensation for levels I‑III. Levels are determined based upon skills and experience directly related to the role. The Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with some flexibility available. Perform basic lab testing under supervision, including sample‑receiving, logging, processing, testing, and reporting of results. Operate equipment for sample processing. Ensure lab environment is clean and well‑maintained, following safety protocols. Maintain inventory of supplies, reagents, and samples. Receive and store samples according to standard operating procedure. Follow detailed instructions for standard laboratory protocols. Schedule work for self so that quality results are obtained in a timely fashion with a minimum amount of re‑testing. Education and Experience Lab Technician I: 0–2 years experience, Associate’s degree required Lab Technician II: 1–3 years experience, Associate’s degree required Lab Technician III: 2–5 years experience, Bachelor’s degree required Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. Physical Demands Some physical exertion is required such as long periods of standing, recurring bending and lifting, and/or lifting items up to 25 pounds.
